CosmiqMatch ("we", "us", "our") is a dating service currently in pre-launch. What we collect

At this waitlist stage, we collect:

• Your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your first name.
• Your date of birth, which also allows us to confirm that you are 18 or over.
• The date and version of the notice shown when you joined.
• Basic technical information needed to protect and operate the waitlist.

Why we collect it

We use your email address to send occasional CosmiqMatch, waitlist, and early-access updates. We use your date of birth only to confirm that you are an adult and we keep it private. Your first name helps us personalise those messages.

We use limited technical information to operate the waitlist, prevent abuse, and protect the service.

Our legal basis

We process your waitlist details with your consent and to take the steps you request before the CosmiqMatch service becomes available. We rely on our legitimate interests where necessary to secure and operate the waitlist. You can withdraw consent for email updates at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us.

Compatibility profiling

We do not calculate compatibility or create matches at the registration stage. We do not ask for your birth time or birthplace at this stage. Joining the waitlist does not create a public dating profile, display your information to other users, make a decision with legal or similarly significant effects, or guarantee a match.

The future dating service may process special-category information such as sexual orientation. Before that processing begins, we will provide additional information and obtain any explicit consent required.

How long we keep it

We plan to keep waitlist details until 12 months after the public launch, unless you ask us to remove them sooner or we need to retain a minimal suppression record to respect an opt-out.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use trusted service providers to host the website, securely store waitlist entries, and deliver email. These may include Vercel, Supabase, and Resend. They process information for us under contractual safeguards. Where information is processed outside the UK, we use legally recognised transfer safeguards where required.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may ask to access, correct, erase, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, and you may object to certain uses. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time. Email contact@cosmiqmatch.co.uk; we normally respond to valid requests within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

The waitlist and future dating service are intended only for adults aged 18 or over. Do not join the waitlist if you are under 18. We use the date of birth you provide to enforce this age limit.

Cookies

We use only technology necessary to operate and secure the waitlist unless you are shown a separate choice for analytics or advertising cookies. Optional cookies will not be set before consent.

Changes

We may update this policy as CosmiqMatch develops. The latest version will appear on this page with its effective date.
